Medtrade News: LifeChoice Activox DUO2

October 10, 2013 By Allison Waters 6 Comments

LifeChoice Activox DUO2

Medtrade is the premier trade show for home medical equipment, and it’s going on right now. Manufacturers fill a giant showroom floor and showcase their best and newest products. Medtrade is often the place where new oxygen equipment is unveiled for the first time. This year’s trade show is no exception.

Introducing the Activox DUO2

Just being introduced at Medtrade is the LifeChoice Activox’s companion home concentrator, the DUO2. According to product literature, the Activox DUO2 is the first integrated oxygen system with no compromises:

The DUO2 stationary component offers reliable performance with up to 5 liters of capacity. The LifeChoice Activox portable component offers lightweight comfort with up to 12 hours of mobility. Together, the two components use the latest technology to communicate seamlessly with each other, for one truly integrated system like no other.

DUO2 is an appropriate name because the Activox portable concentrator actually works with the DUO2 home concentrator. There is a space on top of the home concentrator to dock your Activox portable concentrator. The Activox battery is charged as it sits connected on top of the home concentrator; there is also a charging port for an external battery. When you’re ready to leave home, you simply disconnect the Activox from the DUO2 and you’re ready to go. The Activox POC will also be used diagnostically to test the DUO2 home concentrator.

The New Activox DUO2 Standard Package will include:

  • Activox DUO2 Oxygen Concentrator
  • LifeChoice Activox POC
  • Air Filter
  • Humidifier Bottle and Removal Tool
  • External Battery Crate
  • LifeChoice Activox External Battery (Sold Separately)

Another unique feature of the DUO2 concentrator is a retractable handle that will allow you to tilt and roll the home concentrator on two fixed rear casters. The front still has swivel casters to allow you to push and steer the unit on all four wheels.

The DUO2 is pending FAA Approval, but will be a product to watch for in the near future.

Please send me documentation on the Duo2. Also, do they take trade-ins? I currently have an Eclipse 3 with all attachments. It is less than a year old.

    Also, is the Duo2 continious?

I have already provided all the information I have on the Duo2. With regard to a trade-in, you would have to contact the dealer from whom you purchased your Eclipse 3, or the dealer from which you purchase the Duo2, if difference.

The Duo2 has 2 parts – a home oxygen concentrator that is continuous up to 5 LPM, and a portable concentrator (the Activox) that is pulse only up to setting 3.

Not yet. The manufacturer has an email sign up on their website that allows you to be the first to know when the Duo2 is available. I’ve signed up; you may want to as well. 🙂
